Huma Baqai
Prof. Dr. Huma Baqai is the Rector of the Millennium Institute of Technology and Entrepreneurship, Karachi. She was previously an Associate Professor of Social Sciences & Liberal Arts and the former Associate Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration at IBA Karachi. She has worked with national and international media as an international relations expert and political analyst since 1999.
She is a scholar, reviewer, author, and co-editor of two books, Pakistan-Afghanistan Relations: Pitfalls and Way Forward in 2021 and Making Sense of Post-COVID-19 Politics in 2020. She has authored twenty-nine national and international research articles in renowned journals. She is also a content developer and a certified Corporate Trainer.
She has been associated with electronic media for over twenty years and has discussed domestic, global, and social issues in over a thousand programs. She has participated in over two hundred national and international webinars and conferences. As a columnist, she has contributed over a hundred articles to renowned magazines and newspapers, including:
Magazines: Hilal ISPR Magazine, Narratives, The Vision, Pakistan Politico, Newsline Magazine, Rehbar Magazine, Geo News, and South Asia Magazine.
Newspapers: Pakistan Observer, The Express Tribune, Business Recorder, and Global Village Space.
In addition, Dr. Baqai is the Vice Chairperson of the Karachi Council for Foreign Relations (KCFR) and serves on several advisory & governance boards.
