Dr Muhammad Ali Shaikh is an academic, former Vice-Chancellor of Sindh Madressatul Islam University, Karachi, and Chairman of the Sindh Textbook Board. He has authored several books, including biographies of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and Benazir Bhutto. Presently, he heads the Citizens’ Education and Empowerment Society (CEES) and runs his consultancy. He also freelance writes for Dawn on education, development, and history.
